It’s always been important to know about who was delivering, their skill set and experience.
Now that knowledge should extend to full transparency on the means of production – all production. Only this way can we change the world to make human and business life sustainable and future-proof.
With obfuscation and uncertainty, the impact of what we do can never be known. The idea that we can´t be fully transparent about how we do what we do has only ever been a market myth.
For my work, let’s break it down:
– Fiction writing takes place on a repurposed laptop, revived using an open source operating system (Pop OS!). Marketing, freelance journalism and video editing on a second hand Mac, running MacOS for now.
– Calls taken with a Fairphone 3 currently on Android
– Images and video captured with a Nothing phone running Android
– No work produced using Generative AI (read the posts page for why)
– No AI assistants or agents used but AI is embedded in lots of applications, so work, such as transcription, may be completed with AI technology
– Business travel is using an electric car, train, bicycle and walking
– Credits and copyright acknowledged and respected in all work produced
